CSBS Goes Bowling!
The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences descended onto Del Rosa Bowl on Friday, May 20 for an epic bowling showdown. A total of nine teams vied for bowling bragging rights yet it was ultimately the Brooks family that won both the High Score and Bowling Bingo. The Brooks family shared one of their trophies with the CSBS Kids’ team—who were the real winners of the event.
History Club Wins Outstanding Student Organization Award
CSBS History Club, advised by Dr. Jeremy Murray, co-sponsored a several history lecture series with Phi Alpha Theta honors society on Modern China and Chicano History. Recent lecture talks include: Sounding Chicana Borderlands Imaginaries, 50 Years After China's Cultural Revolution, Chicano Art: At The Intersection Of Art And Activism, and Does Science Imply Human Rights? The Life and Thought of Fang Lizhi. The History Club also won their third consecutive Outstanding Student Organization Award, and was recognized by the Office of Student Engagement.
